It is The Caring Place’s mission to provide care based on people’s ability to pay based on their household income.
Our standard counselling sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes, offering dedicated time for individuals, couples, and families guidance and support.

Direct Billing
Many employers offer confidential mental health services through an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Please consult your Human Resources department to verify your coverage and request a referral.
In addition to Employee Assistance Programs, our counselling sessions are covered by a variety of extended third-party organization programs. We recommend verifying your specific coverage details with your provider and ask them to send us a referral.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) provides coverage to eligible Indigenous clients with a valid status or treaty number. A provider referral is not required to access these benefits.

Services provided by our registered counsellors and therapists are covered under many extended health insurance plans.
Please note that we do not offer direct billing for insurance companies. Clients are required to pay for their sessions at the time of appointment and submit their receipts directly to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
To ensure your sessions are eligible for coverage, we strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to booking to confirm that your specific plan includes services rendered by a Registered Counsellor / Licensed Therapist/ Social Worker.
Cancellation Policy
To ensure our counsellors are compensated for their time, we require a credit card on file or a $50 deposit to secure your booking. This applies to both new and returning clients.
We require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations, reschedules, or changes to your appointment.
Notice can be provided by phone or email.
Please note: Any late cancellations, reschedules, or missed appointments (no-shows) without 24 hours notice will result in a $50 fee.
