Tim Kealey

Executive Director

Tim has lived in Regina for the majority of his life, attending university, starting his career, and raising his family here.  Tim’s educational background include a Bachelor of Administration Degree, Canadian Certified Recovery Coach (CCRC) and Canadian Certified Peers Support Specialist (CCPSS).
With over 30 years experience in both Public and Private Sector portfolios, Tim’s expertise in strategic planning, risk management, people motivation and a passion for enhancing peoples’ lives through his work in the people services, healthcare and wellness fields provides a unique opportunity to champion The Caring Place’s Vision and Values in supporting the citizens of Regina.

Dr. Sam Berg

Sam is our Director of Counselling Services and specializes in marriage and family counselling, depression, grief and working with adolescents. Sam has been with The Caring Place for over 25 years.

Sam works in depth with our counselling interns, supporting them as they progress in their professional journeys as therapists.

Kevin Eby

Counsellor

M.A., MFC

Kevin meets with individuals, couples and families supporting them with their concerns. He promotes a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in sessions. He focuses on looking at client’s situations from a systemic perspective. Kevin can address a variety of challenges that individuals come with including trauma where he uses Eye Movement Integration (EMI) as the modality. He also has cross-cultural experience working with Indigenous people for over 30 years.

Jennifer Kerr

Counsellor

MAMFT, RMFT, C.C.C.

Jennifer specializes in supporting clients who struggle with anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, grief, life direction and change, relationship challenges, and navigating emotions. Her training as a marriage and family therapist helps her work with individuals age 8 and up, couples and families, and she is especially passionate about helping adolescents and young adults develop confidence and trust in their own strengths and values. Jennifer also utilizes Somatic Experiencing therapeutic strategies, which help clients connect with their body and work with their nervous system.

Patience Okao

Patience has several years of experience in human services and mental health care. She brings a compassionate, client-centred approach to therapy. Patience has experience in case management, crisis intervention, and advocacy, She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed practices. Her warm, collective style helps clients to build resilience, find clarity, and navigate life with increased confidence and strength.

Dallas Gold

Dallas is passionate about helping clients embrace their authentic selves while navigating life’s complexities. He offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space and uses an existential and person-centred approach. Dallas has experience supporting individuals through unhelpful thought patterns, relationship dynamics, spiritual abuse, and seeking meaning and authenticity in their lives.

Gary Mah

Counsellor & Social Worker

Gary aims to provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. He uses a variety of evidence-based counselling approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and play therapy techniques. Gary has experience working with children, youth, adults, couples, and families.

Andrea Wiebe

Andrea is passionate about helping people walk safely through the complexities of life including depression, anxiety, grief, resilience and stress-management, and living according to client’s values. Her research and training have focused largely on Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Andrea believes that the client is the expert in their own life and allows for space to develop goals, identity, and purpose. As a Marriage and Family Therapy counsellor, her systemic lens aids in working collaboratively with clients 10 years of age and older.

Jaylin Reichert

Counselling Intern

Jaylin specializes in depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and addiction. Her master’s research has focused largely on Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her trauma-informed practices primarily focus on clients 18 years of age and older. Her goal is to utilize collaborative approaches to suit individual client therapy needs.

Mingi Choe

Mingi is a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapy intern who brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to his practice. He believes that each individual is the expert of their own life and values collaboration throughout the therapeutic process.

Mingi creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals, couples, and families can explore their goals, identity, and sense of purpose. He is also fluent in Korean, which enhances his ability to connect with a diverse range of clients. His collaborative and compassionate style supports clients in developing resilience, gaining insight, and moving through life with greater confidence and inner strength.
