Dr. Sam Berg

Sam is our Director of Counselling Services and specializes in marriage and family counselling, depression, grief and working with adolescents. Sam has been with The Caring Place for over 25 years.
Sam works in depth with our counselling interns, supporting them as they progress in their professional journeys as therapists.

Danyelle specializes in personality and mood disorders, complex trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, personal identity concerns, and in church hurt/spiritual abuse.
Danyelle uses elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioural Analysis, and Narrative Therapy to best support her clients holistically and individually. She believes everyone has a purpose and place to belong in the community.
Ramona P. Wijesinghe

Ramona is a registered social worker with 18 years of experience in counselling. Ramona is passionate about helping individuals and families. Ramona’s approach is client focused, culturally inclusive, non-judgemental, compassionate and understanding, and she will provide a safe place for you to explore your healing journey. Ramona brings a kind and warm personality to share and welcome you.

Jennifer Kerr
Counsellor
MAMFT, RMFT, C.C.C.
Jennifer specializes in supporting clients who struggle with anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, grief, life direction and change, relationship challenges, and navigating emotions. Her training as a marriage and family therapist helps her work with individuals age 8 and up, couples and families, and she is especially passionate about helping adolescents and young adults develop confidence and trust in their own strengths and values. Jennifer also utilizes Somatic Experiencing therapeutic strategies, which help clients connect with their body and work with their nervous system.
Graham Tyson
Counsellor
M.A., CPC
Graham’s specialties include grief and loss, anxiety and depression, childhood sexual abuse, and addictions. He runs Artistic Expression Workshops and the Depression and Anxiety Support Group. Graham also has gambling/spending intervention and treatment training.
Kevin Eby

Kevin has cross-cultural experience working with First Nations people. He also provides individual/couples counselling. He specializes in Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMI), effective towards treating past trauma. He also specializes in Critical Incident Debriefing and has taking training in Family Systems Trauma Therapy.

Dorinda
Schultz
Counsellor

Dorinda works collaboratively with clients, from a strengths-based perspective. She draws from several different schools of practice, while striving to individually tailor her approach to meet the needs of each client. Dorinda specializes in working with children and youth, and has background in areas such as adverse childhood experiences, neurodivergence (ADHD/ADD), self-esteem, and social and cognitive/achievement challenges related to school. Dorinda’s work with adults has focused on challenges related to separation and divorce, parent coaching/family stress, anxiety, depression, and addiction. She delivers a trauma-informed, collaborative approach, allowing clients to feel safe enough to explore a process that may otherwise be overwhelming.

Erin is a Marriage and Family Therapy intern who has experience supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Erin’s master’s research has focused on care for children and adolescents who experience gender dysphoria. She is a gentle and kind soul who believes in joining with her clients in their experiences and stories by taking a collaborative approach to healing and growth.

Dallas is passionate about helping clients embrace their authentic selves while navigating life’s complexities. He offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space and uses an existential and person-centred approach. Dallas has experience supporting individuals through unhelpful thought patterns, relationship dynamics, spiritual abuse, and seeking meaning and authenticity in their lives.
Jaylin Reichert
Counselling intern
B.A. Psych, MACP-C.C.C. (in process)
Jaylin specializes in depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and addiction. Her masters research has focused largely on Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Her trauma-informed practices primarily focus on clients 16 years of age and older. Her goal is to utilize collaborative approaches to suit individual client therapy needs.
