The Caring Place Regina

Professional mental health and relationship counselling

The Caring Place provides confidential professional counselling to people of all ages.

Individuals, Couples & Families.

Counselling to individuals, couples and family on a variety of mental health and relationship issues. Fees are based on a sliding scale, depending on family income.

Fees range from $130 to $30 per hour session

The Caring Place is a non-profit charity located in the Cathedral area of Regina, SK. All counsellors are educated to at least the Master’s level, with all have additional certification in various treatment modalities. Clients are matched with the counsellor that has a focus their particular needs.


We also offer some FREE programs here at the Caring Place:

  1. Kids Mental Health Group: Get Angry

    Saturdays March 30th – April 27, 2019 (5 sessions)

    Free Sessions for up to 12 children who are new Canadians. These children experience bullying & loneliness, as they try to integrate into our culture, language, and climate.

    In this class, through cognitive-behavioral techniques children are taught anger dousing methods aimed at cooling thought and controlling angry actions. This group is full of activities and interactive projects to teach children on ways to control anger.

    Our Cost to run these sessions with a psychologist is $113 per child, plus art materials $25 = $138/per child x 12 = $1656

  2. Running simultaneously is a Free Artistic Expression Group for New Canadians.

    This course includes interpreters. Up to 10 persons can take this class which features focus on the experience of expression while taking the art journey together, not on the expectation of outcome. Participants are able to experience many different modes of artistic expression. Our facilitators lead sessions in string art, scribble art, paint blob, shadow painting, highlight painting and art journaling. The 8 week session begins with every participant painting a mask to illustrate their feelings at that time and ends with them painting a companion mask that illustrated their feelings at the end of the journey.

    This class is run by two counselors

    Our Cost is $240.00/ per person x 10 people.

  3. Free Depression/Anxiety Support Group Monday Evenings from 7:00-8:30 

    Every Monday, including holidays, for two hours.52 weeks a year x 2 hours x 2 counselors. Cost, which includes use of boardroom in Cathedral Wellness Association, of have a lease of an office in the same building. Our Cost is $200/week x 52 = $10400 annually

     4.Free ½ hour intake counselling appointment for anyone. Anyone can come in and book an assessment intake with a                           counselor. Our Cost: Average about 65 people per month (32.5 x 50 = $1624/monthly) (1624 x 12= annually)

       5. Free emergency counselling, for crisis situations. Our Cost Average 10/ month (10 * 60) Annually (600 * 12 = $7200/year)

No referral is required to access The Caring Place. Simply book an appointment.

Many businesses and companies have Employee Assistance Program that cover the cost of counselling. Clients should check with their employer and The Caring Place to determine whether counselling costs would be covered this way.
