2026 Mayors Luncheon
Last Thursday, May 7th, marked a truly special milestone for The Caring Place. For the first time since before the pandemic, we gathered together for our annual Mayor’s Luncheon—and what a homecoming it was!
After years of waiting, seeing our community fill the room again was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Our staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail was perfect, and seeing the event’s success made every bit of effort worth it.
A massive thank you to:
Our Guests: To everyone who purchased a ticket and joined us—thank you for your presence and your heart for our mission.
Our Sponsors: We couldn’t have done this without your incredible generosity. You are the engine that keeps our programs running!
Thank you to our speakers that came out and were part of that day!
It feels good to be back. Together, we are making a difference.

2025 Golf Tournament
This year the annual Ryan Schlechter Memorial golf tournament raised $30,000!!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support!! This year was a huge success, and next year will be even bigger and better!!! Below is an article covering the event:
What people are saying...
“Thank you so much for having free group therapy sessions. I’ve never been able to go to therapy because I could never afford it. I’m excited to come again next week.”
Depression and Anxiety Group Attendee
“I have found the group an important support for my mental health challenges because I can’t afford counselling.”
Depression and Anxiety Group Attendee
“The depression and anxiety support group became a literal and figurative lifeline for me at a very difficult point in my life. It continues to be a greatly instrumental aspect in my recovery. The group’s existence allowed the detrimental effects of isolation to be broken and in its place a vibrant network of shared support, strength, and hope has sprung up. A beacon of light now shines evermore brightly, in what had been, a very dark place.”
Depression and Anxiety Group Attendee
“The group was a lifeline to me. It has been one of my most helpful links along this journey of healing.”
